Millions of pixels can't be wrong.

Headhunter, my first game for the iPhone, was released in September, 2009. Throw shrunken heads around for points and prestige. Great lessons for the youth of today. Now available on iTunes.

HI THERE

I'm David Phillips. Nice to meet you. I've been designing, animating, programming, and otherwise fancifying the digital for over 10 years.

MR. KNOW-IT-ALL

I'm a rare bird: I can both push pixels and crunch code, sometimes even on the same project. It's like the right side of my brain met the left side and they decided to become dance partners... Anyway, this can only mean good things for you, my Dear Prospective Client. I have years of experience on both the happy front-facing side of projects and also the nitty-gritty back-end.

THIS GUN FOR HIRE

I am currently available on a freelance basis for both short and long term projects. Get in touch if you would like to talk to me about a project.

Small, but savvy. Petite, yet powerful. Tiny, yet tenacious.

Mighty Icons

I've been designing icons for over 10 years for web, print, mobile devices, games, and more. I am a firm believer in the power of a good icon to transform the world. Or at least your project.

Mighty Icons is my online icon portfolio.

Two heads are better than one. But three, that's a combo.

Headhunter: Heads Will Roll

Headhunter is my first game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. In a nutshell, you throw shrunken heads in the air for points and achievements. The more heads you can stack in a pile, the better. A great lesson for the youth of today. Now available on iTunes.

I did everything. The idea, the graphics, the coding. Yep, all of it.

Rabbit vs. Robot is the game company I founded to release Headhunter.

Razzles: dazzled. Ritz: put on. Flash: made a little bit flashier.

VW Electronics Research Laboratory

VW ERL, Volkswagen Electronics Research Laboratory, "accelerates automotive innovation by harvesting Silicon Valley energy." In other words, they make lots of cool and groundbreaking stuff for cars.

Environmentally Friendly Navigation

Working at Propane Studio, I integrated a Flash-based prototype deployed to an in-car UI that allowed navigation routes to be plotted via Google Earth taking into account environmental factors. I.e. Do I want to get there fast, or do I want to get there efficiently?

Additionally, this interface prototype shows off other fancy features of the Audi MMI (Multimedia Interface) system including live traffic-nodes, fuel-savings history, and energy harvesting.

What I did on this project:

Visual design by Propane Studio.

Sega Mobile

Sonic must jump. Monkeys must chase monkeyballs.
I helped them all be a little bit jazzier for SegaMobile.

What I did on this project:

Cinergi

Flash pieces for the web site of now-defunct Cinergi Equity Partners. This was a fun one. Working with Propane Studio, I vectorized the photos and animated them into place.

What I did on this project:

Visual design by Propane Studio.

Ask.com

This piece was used to promote new functionality for the search engine Ask.com. Working again with Propane Studio, I assembled and animated the interface, functionality demonstration, and video.
